From The Staff
We
continue our Lenten Season in a beautiful springtime and celebrate Easter with
a joyous and special reminder of what Jesus did to show his unending love for
us. Praised be His Holy Name!
Thanks
to the CCCR Youth Ministry and all who helped them at the youth conference at
Holy Trinity Parish, February 25. By all reports, it was a very successful
conference with over 400 attending. Thanks also to the staff at Holy Trinity.
The
Spanish conference will be on April 21 & 22 at St. Henry’s Hall. We need
everyone’s help! Please register to attend as soon as possible. The Service
committee, when planning the three separate conferences, pledged to attend all
three and get volunteers from the whole renewal (English, Spanish, and Youth)
to work each conference. Lets support one another. If you are bilingual, what a blessing, you
get two conferences.
La
Conferencia en Español es el 21 y 22 de Abril en el salón de la parroquia de
St. Henry. Vengan a alabar al Señor.
Regístrense lo más pronto posible. Tenemos que apoyarnos unos a los otros.
The
days of renewal are now better attended thanks to you who have made it possible
with your enthusiasm, zeal and commitment. There is a revival taking
place! The Spanish “Asamblea” has
definitely come alive. Come back and experience this revival!
The
CCCR, with Fr. Pedro Molina and Ros Hernandez, is sponsoring a pilgrimage to

LIVING IN THE SPIRIT by Ray

Urgent! Urgent! There’s no easy
way to say this – WE NEED HELP! The plain
facts are that the
Why? The answer is simply that they feel that there
is something lacking in the Catholic Church that they find in other Churches.
The newspaper reports (recently in the S.A. Express-News) that those interviewed
cited vibrant praise and inspired preaching as examples. Another survey in
Today’s Catholic reported that less than 20% of our Catholic youth consider God
to be “Very Important” in their lives. The Holy Spirit has shown us that the
Catholic answer is to renew the Spirit of Pentecost in our Church. To this
extent, we need YOUR help!
As leaders, we need to show the way by our example.
If you feel as I do, that Catholic Charismatic Renewal is a genuine movement of
the Holy Spirit in our Church, then I ask you to show your total commitment to
our efforts here in
There are 3 steps that need to be taken
immediately.
1) I
ask you to write a check TODAY and send it to CCCR to give us the financial
boost that is needed right now.
2) Secondly,
I ask you to fill out a pledge form to show Bishop Tom and Ros that they can
count on you to be a COMMITTED supporter of the Center.
3) I
ask you at your next prayer group meeting to urge your members to show their
COMMITMENT by doing the same as you.
Fr. Tom Forrest, 78 years young, said it best:
“There are many people out there who support many charities, but it seems that
only dedicated Catholic Charismatics support the Renewal.” We Charismatics are
at the center of the Church and we know we are called to support all of the
Church’s ministries. It does indeed seem that only Charismatics support the Catholic
Charismatic Renewal.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE – do not let TODAY pass
without taking the steps to join us in keeping our
God bless you! Ray Rossman
