YOUTH RETREATS! Living in the power of the Holy
Spirit in the New Millennium!
If the youth are the future of the Church, then the
future is now! In youth retreats and conferences all
around the world, G.R.A.C.E uses the model given us
by Pope John Paul II at World Youth Days. He
challenges our Catholic Youth with the reality of
heaven and hell and the necessity for repentance
and conversion to the person of Jesus.
At G.R.A.C.E retreats, the youth not only hear the Good News, they
experience firsthand the “divine touch” of the Holy Spirit who alone can
transform lives and the world. G.R.A.C.E provides the opportunity for the
youth to put their faith into action by joining outreaches such as going to
nursing homes, feeding the homeless, and sharing their testimonies at
other retreats to help evangelize their peers. In the near future short term
trips to the mission fields for youth groups and their leaders will be offered
to teach Vacation Bible Schools in the power of the Holy Spirit!
G.R.A.C.E. uses talks, music, skits and dance to bring the Gospel alive.
Nobody is bored at a G.R.A.C.E retreat! The core team consists of Nancy and
Lloyd, their daughter Tisha Darrow, and Janie Scheiber. The skits are
headed up by the younger generation, their granddaughter Natasha Darrow.
In addition, G.R.A.C.E is empowering others for ministry by putting together
a team of youth and adult leaders from churches around the Diocese to help
them with talks, small group discussion, and prayer. By providing
opportunities for others, G.R.A.C.E is fostering vocations and training
leaders for the next millennium like the teens shown above from Texas! The
teens leave a G.R.A.C.E retreat knowing Catholic is Cool!
MUSIC FOR THE GLORY OF GOD! ~ Praise Him with timbrel and dance,
Praise Him with strings and pipe…! Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150: 4,6)
The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of
inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art.
Catechism of the Catholic Church #1156
The harmony of signs (song, music, words, and actions) is all the more expressive and
fruitful when expressed in the cultural richness of the People of God who celebrate. Hence
‘religious singing by the faithful is to be intelligently fostered so that in devotion and sacred
exercises as well as in liturgical services’, in conformity with the Church’s norms, the voices
of the faithful may be heard. Catechism of the Catholic Church #1158
Rendering excellence, to the glory of God, as they lead others in Spirit-filled worship &
praise is a trademark of the G.R.A.C.E. sound. They play traditional music as well as their own
original music in a lively style enjoyed by adults and youth alike. They provide the music as
they lead worship at numerous statewide leaders’ conferences, for national youth
conferences, and days of Renewal for the Diocese of St. Petersburg and Diocese throughout
the USA.
Tisha, Janie, and Nancy write the bulk of the songs recorded on their albums, which
spotlight and celebrate their Catholic Christian faith. They have recorded four albums to
date. The first of these was “Come Home To Rome” in 1994. They have just finished the
“Jubilee Trilogy” which features songs about Jesus in the “Ocean of Mercy” album released
in March of 1997. “Mighty Spirit” came in 1998, and “Cast Your Net”, which celebrates The
Father & The Jubilee was released in 2000. Stay tuned for the next great GRACE album!
